Price tracker

Web hosting price changes, logged every month

Hosts love a low intro price and a quiet renewal increase. We re-check the pricing page of every host we cover each month and log what changed here, renewal prices first, with the date and a link to the source. If we have not seen it on the host’s own site, it is not on this page.

How we check

Once a month we open each host’s official pricing page and compare every plan with our last record: the intro price, the prepay it needs, the renewal price and the month-to-month price. We log any difference with the date we saw it. Short sales (Black Friday and the like) are not logged as price changes, because the renewal price is what you pay for years.

See every current plan side by side on the hosting price tracker, or work out a plan’s real cost with the true cost calculator. Spotted a change we have not logged? Tell us.

Frequently asked questions

Do web hosts raise renewal prices?

Yes, often, and usually without much notice. That is why we log renewal prices separately from intro prices: the renewal price is what you pay after the first term ends.

Can I use this data?
