Is this website down? Status and speed check

Find out whether a website is down for everyone or just you. We load the homepage from our server, follow redirects and show the HTTP status, the response time broken into DNS, connect, TLS and time to first byte, and the server's response headers.
Reading the result
- 2xx: the site is up. If it won't load for you, try another network, clear your DNS cache or check your browser extensions.
- 3xx: a redirect; we follow up to five and show the chain.
- 4xx: the server answered but refused or couldn't find the page (403 forbidden, 404 not found).
- 5xx: a server-side error: the site really is having problems.
Response time
Time to first byte (TTFB) is how long the server takes to start answering: a good proxy for hosting speed. Under about 600 ms is good for a typical page measured from a distant location; a fast cached site can answer in under 200 ms. This is a single measurement from one place, so treat it as a rough guide rather than a benchmark.
Frequently asked questions
Is the website down or is it just me?
If our check returns a 2xx status, the site is up and the problem is likely on your side. A 5xx status or a connection error means the site is down for everyone.
Why is my website slow?
Slow TTFB usually means slow hosting or no page caching. Large images and scripts slow the rest of the page. A better host or caching layer fixes the first.
Does this test from multiple locations?
No: it tests from our server only, once. For ongoing monitoring use an uptime monitoring service.
